This levee will block access to land parcels on the east side and at the request of the local sponsor, an access road will be constructed on the south east side of the levee. (3) Project work also includes construction of a channel beginning at a point on the Rio Santiago channel south of Highway PR-22 running parallel to San Francisco Road, under Highway PR-10, and terminating at the Arecibo River. (4) Project work also includes construction of a culvert structure consisting of six, 72-inch diameter pipes under Highway PR-10. This culvert structure is proposed to be installed using microtunneling techniques so as to avoid disruption to traffic on Highway PR-10.
