Geothermal / GeoExchange Heating and Cooling
A heating and cooling system that involve the use of a ground based source of heat or cold. The energy used for heating or cooling can be naturally occuring such as from volcanic heat or underground body of cold water or the ground can be heated or cooled artificially.
GeoExchange is a phrase used for systems using heat and/or cold which has been stored in the ground for later use. This method of heating and cooling is an increasingly popular method of building climate control due to its high efficiency and environmental benefits.
